Welcome to the North Wales Archery Society's website.Over the next few months this website will grow into the main jumping off point into archery in North Wales. Rebecca goes to IndiaThis year India is holding a trial Archery event to prepare for the Commonwealth Games. Archery is not an official event but India want to add it to the list, and so are doing a trial event to see if it is practicable. As such it has been added to the list of international events and Wales is sending a team. Rebecca Dawson successfully qualified for the team and will be representing Wales. Stop Press: the results are in and Rebecca came 9th overall. North Wales Team - Calling all archers!North Wales Archery Society will be competing in a number of inter-county matches this year. We wish to form a team that can represent North Wales and wish to open up the team to any NWAS member who can achieve the scores required. The tournaments are going be based on the FITA round (Gents and Ladies) and teams of Recurve, Compound and Longbow are needed. If you have any questions, please contact the Team Manager - Peter Nichols on 07770 616746. Please send any scores to Patrick Beckett (records @ northwalesarchery.org.uk) who will collate them for Peter. Please mark your submission with 'NWAS Team'. The first team event of the year will be on the 9th July at the Corus Deeside Archery Club Ground. It will be a FITA and involve Lancashire, Shropshire and North Wales. Next Executive MeetingThe next meeting of the NWAS Executive Committee will be on the 31st July 2006 at Corus Sport and Social Club.
